I make work because silence is never truly empty. Every canvas begins with a question — about memory, about presence, about the small rituals that hold a life together. My practice moves between observation and intuition: some days I am drawing from life, others I am chasing a colour that feels like a word I have forgotten.

OllyArts is the studio home for these works. It is a space of slow looking and careful making, where each piece is allowed the time it needs to become itself. I believe art should invite you closer, not shout for your attention.

My process is grounded in material honesty. I work with oils, acrylics, charcoal, and whatever else the piece demands. Layering is important to me — not for complexity, but because a surface with history feels more truthful. I often return to the same motif across several works, letting repetition reveal what a single image cannot.

The philosophy is simple: make less, but make it matter. I would rather release a handful of works that feel fully resolved than flood the world with noise. Each finished piece is a record of attention paid.
